Description
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and optimize network servers, hardware, and software to ensure seamless performance and compliance with specified requirements.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Linux, Windows, Ubuntu, CentOS) and manage dual-boot setups.
Manage LAN and Wi-Fi networks and perform router configurations for uninterrupted connectivity.
Set up user accounts, workstations, and software tools (Outlook, Teams), addressing configuration and driver-related concerns.
Implement security measures, including access controls, backups, and firewalls, to safeguard systems and data integrity.
Upgrade systems with new releases, staying current with technological advancements for staff training.
Facilitate onboarding processes, assigning laptops to new employees and ensuring seamless laptop collection upon departure.
Monitor system and server performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve outages promptly to minimize disruptions.
Configure and troubleshoot printers, ensuring seamless printing operations within the network.
Execute Active Directory tasks for user creation, deletion, and management, maintaining an organized and secure user environment.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist users and provide system usage training.
Monitor security breaches, respond to incidents, conduct regular security audits, and update security policies.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaborate with IT professionals and departments, working with vendors to procure and implement hardware and software solutions.
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
5-7+ years of experience in systems administration.
Advanced troubleshooting skills and knowledge of relevant tools.
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch Scripts).
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Administration proficiency in Google Workspace & Office 365.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and firewall security.
Understanding cloud platforms like AWS or GCP would be a plus.
Technical proficiency in system and network administration.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Time management and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
