Years ago, a simple idea sparked a question: could a spare phone and an old SMS technology change the lives of 63 million people who cannot hear? That question grew into Sounds of Silence (SOS), India’s first technology-based NGO. What began with a few phones turned into a way for hearing-impaired children once isolated to connect, learn, and step into their future with dignity. That experience continues to shape how I see AI in healthcare at CARPL - Radiology AI Platform today. AI isn’t just about faster workflows or sharper algorithms. It’s about inclusivity, accessibility, and trust. Behind every dataset is a patient, a story, a life. As women in AI, this is the lens we bring, balancing innovation with empathy, and ensuring technology serves humanity first. Excited to keep building alongside this incredible hashtag#WomenInAI community! Together, we can ensure technology listens & includes...Join the community here: https://lnkd.in/d9YPHQAC

Women in AI: My Journey From being a dental surgeon directly impacting patients’ lives, to transitioning into Healthcare IT and impacting care through AI- the journey has been anything but easy. I had to unlearn and relearn constantly. Starting as a shy, anxious intern doing grunt work, I grew into an Analyst, working with AI developers and radiologists. That’s where I first understood the gaps and possibilities in radiology AI. Later, in Sales, I worked across APAC, LATAM, USA & India, learning how early adopters embraced AI with curiosity, while others were hesitant, teaching me that adoption is as much about mindset as it is about technology. Today, almost 5 years later, I lead Enterprise Partnerships, building go-to-market strategies, integrating with PACS companies, and enabling commercial teams. Throughout this journey, I’ve been fortunate to meet incredible women leaders who guided, inspired, and motivated me, especially on the days when I doubted my voice in a room full of men. One initiative close to my heart is 'Women in AI' by CARPL. These catchups have been a safe space to hear powerful stories, share challenges, and celebrate each other’s journeys. Every session makes me a stronger, more confident, opinionated (yet kind) woman. Today, I want to thank all my WAI members for creating this community- for lifting each other, and for proving that together, we can change the face of AI in healthcare. Manager - AI Partnerships

A few years ago, I swapped petri dishes for partnerships, transitioning from a career in microbiology into management, carving out a space where empathy meets innovation. Today, I’m honored to be part of WAI - Women in AI Community, where my role isn’t about coding—it’s about connecting people, aligning purpose, and reshaping an industry that still often overlooks women’s voices. In the healthcare sector, women make up around 70% of the global health workforce, yet they occupy just 25% of senior leadership roles. These numbers reveal more than imbalance—they expose the blind spots in the systems we rely on. The Women in AI committee isn't just a group—it’s a movement. Together, we’re not only expanding access, but ensuring equity is embedded in how products are built, services are delivered, and communities are served.

Women in AI: A Different Voice, A Deeper Impact As I reflect on my journey, 21 years in technology, 10 years in healthcare, and more than 5 years in the world of AI, one thing feels very close to my heart: the role women play in shaping this space. Yes, AI thrives on data, models, and algorithms. But its real impact depends on something far less talked about: the diversity of voices shaping it. This is where women in AI bring an irreplaceable strength. Women often step into the room carrying not just technical skills, but a different lens: 👉 We balance outcomes with empathy because behind every dataset is a patient, a story, a life. 👉 We bring resilience, navigating industries where our presence has too often been the exception, not the norm. Working in healthcare AI, this has been especially powerful to witness. Behind every dataset is a patient’s story. Women often bring that perspective of empathy and context, ensuring AI doesn’t just scale technology, but also scales trust and care. For me, being part of this community is not just about representation. It’s about the responsibility to bring a human touch to the AI we build. ✨ Connect, learn, and grow with us at Women in AI by CARPL.ai 🙂 hashtag#CARPL hashtag#WAI hashtag#womeninai
